Aug 15 – Catalina


Boat dives at Lulu reef and Little Geiger. The visibility at Lulu reef in the morning was a bit better and there was no current. Once we moved to Little Geiger the current picked up and the dive boat had only the bow anchor making it sway all over the place. Visibility dropped dramatically for this last dive. Overall the boat experience was bad and unfortunately this was my last time on that particular boat. I just wish there were more boats out there like the Magician or the Spectre.


Dive Location : Catalina at the Istmus / Lulu reef and Little Geiger

Date & Time : 8/15/09 at from 10am to 3pm

Surf Height : 1-2ft waves

Surge : Current only

Visibility : 10-20ft

Water Temperature : 66
