Aug 4 Wood’s night dive

Dove Wood’s tonight. Got in around 7:30pm. Tide was high but calm surf but good size swells. High tide make low surf made getting in and out easy. Passed the pinnacle and dropped to about 20ft and head out to “miller’s reef” Passed a couple of smaller reefs and started to turn “east” The reef was teeming with life, lots of calico bass (big and small), schools of small fish getting in and out of sight and lots of small lobsters and a few big ones. Even at 25ft, viz was good 15ft with a bit of haze. But, surge has a kick to it and if surge wasn’t as strong, it would have been a great dive.
